Three Steps to Learning New Words
Byki has three easy steps that will help you learn new words in no time, and gives you the option of staying on a step if you feel it is necessary to do more review before moving on. In each step, your step percentage completion and list percentage completion are tracked.
The first step, Preview It, shows you the flash cards with the new term several times. The second step, Recognize It, shows you side 2 (which is the word in that language) and asks you to provide side 1 (English). Step three, Provide It, shows you the English and asks you to provide the word or phrase in that language.
Native Speaker Helps with Pronunciation
The lists that come with Byki also come with native speaker audio, so you can hear how each word and phrase is pronounced. As an added bonus, Byki also gives you the option of "slow sound," which slows down the audio in case you are having trouble hearing how the words are pronounced.

If you're using Byki Express, which is the free version of the software, and want to learn more words but are not ready to pay the $49.95 to upgrade to Deluxe, you can always visit List Central on the Web site, which allows you to download even more lists created by Byki Deluxe users and Transparent Language.
One thing to note here is that not all of the lists that are posted on List Central will have audio. If that is something that is very important to you, then you should look for the lists that have a little speaker next to them.
